Cinema Diverse
In 2008, Cinema Diverse was born. Premiering with only 15 films in 2008, Cinema Diverse now has a lineup of 91 films. Celebrating its tenth anniversary this year, the festival is dedicated to presenting the best in LGBTQ cinema. While last year addressed the divide between mainstream and religion, this year addresses the treatment of the LGBT community. With the current gay and lesbian population in Palm Springs estimated to be seven times the national average, a concentration even greater than that of San Francisco, Palm Springs is a fitting location for this annual event.
